Design Philosophy of Mochtar Riady Library in Tsinghua

In the last century, Tsinghua Libraries had frequent extensions of its buildings and continuous revival in its cultural significance. The latest construction added to Tsinghua Libraries wasMochtar Riady Library(Main Library North Section), whichwas elaborately designed to both coordinate with Tsinghua’s beautiful landscape and contribute to Tsinghua’s academic development. With the aesthetic philosophy of limitation in openness, the design aims to show a tranquil attitude as well as to lean forward and get closer to the world.
