AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

AED (automated external defibrillator), also known as cardiac defibrillator, is a portable medical device that can diagnose certain types of arrhythmia and offer electric defibrillation. It is a medical device that can be used by non-professionals to rescue patients with cardiac arrest.The library is equipped with four AED devices in case of emergency.

Four in total, respectively located at the entrance on the first floor of West Library (Run Run Shaw Library), besides the self-service book borrowing machine at connecting bridge on the second floor of West Library, near the Information & Services Desk on the first floor of North Library (Mochtar Riady Library), and at the entrance of the G floor of Humanities & Social Sciences Library.

Convenient Service Box

The Main Library and all branch libraries are allequipped with convenient service boxes which contain common stationery, medicines for external use and daily necessities for readers’ emergency use. They can be borrowed with an on-campus credential or a valid ID card.

Financial Self-service Machine

In the lobby on the first floor of North Library (Mochtar Riady Library), there is a Financial Self-service Machine, for delivery of accounting vouchers.

Computers & Network

Access to the network on campus requires a campus ID. Each Tsinghua student, faculty and staff member is assigned a campus ID when they join the University, and can manage their campus ID through Tsinghua University Network Account Settings Website. Tsinghua Information Technology Center is responsible for the management and charge of all campus IDs.

Campus Wireless Network

Patrons can use their own laptops on campus wireless access in the library building.

Lost and Found

For the items registered in the lost and found system of Tsinghua University Library and the missing items of daily use (such as notebooks, water cups, etc.) that cannot be found in the lost and found system, please go to the Reception Desk of West Library (Run Run Shaw Library).

IC Card Transfer Machine

Location

Three in total, respectively located on the opposite side of the Reception Desk on the first floor of the West Library (Run Run Shaw Library Library), on the north side of the Information& Services Desk of North Library (Mochtar Riady Library) and on the east side outside the door of the G floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library. They can provide self-service query and transfer service of student IC card.
