The "Bridging Chinese and Western Thought" International Academic Forum is a dialogue-driven seminar series jointly initiated by Tsinghua University Library and Priceton University Press China. Using classic works as its intellectual medium, the series aims to gather leading scholars from around the world to engage in in-depth interdisciplinary, and cross-civilizational exchanges on issues of global concern, building a platform for dialogue between Chinese and Western scholars. The inaugural event focused on the new English translation of Capital published by PUP in September 2024. As the first new English translation in 50 years based on Marx’s own revised German version, it carries significant academic value.

On-site interactions were lively and engaging, with teachers and students actively exchanging ideas with the speakers over the presentation content.
A book exhibition specially curated by PUP China was held concurrently at the venue, featuring nearly 60 academic works on Marxism, capitalism, and globalization. The Library also prepared a special rare book exhibition featuring Volume I of Capital, which attracted the attention of participants.
