A Wealth of Volumes: Special Exhibition of Rare Ancient Books (History Category) from the Tsinghua University Library Collection
Dates: Opening April 26, 2025
Venue: 1st Floor, North Section, Main Library
To better showcase and promote the rare ancient books housed in the library, and breath digital life into ancient books, the library will present a series of exhibitions organized into the traditional classification of the four major categories of ancient Chinese books: Confucian Classics (Jing), History (Shi), Philosophy (Zi), and Literature (Ji). These exhibitions will feature rare Chinese books that possess both cultural and academic value. This year, in celebration of Tsinghua University’s anniversary, the exhibition will feature ancient Chinese books from the History category. The History category includes a wide range of historical records in various genres, serving to document the rich history of China’s enduring civilization. These books boast a wealth of content, presenting a complete system of Chinese historical records. This also reflects the Chinese tradition of valuing historical inheritance as well as their adherence to drawing wisdom from the past.
